About the company

United Compounding Industrial Company (UCIC) established in 2013 is one of the largest and modern compounding production companies in the Middle East with CALCARB® & POLYCA-SA® being the registered commercial brand names of its produced CaCo3 powder – Treated & Un-Treated & Calcium Carbonate filler & White master batches.

Our plant is in Jeddah II Industrial Area, with total area 55,000 square meter and proposed capacity of 260,000 & 200,000 TPA which will be executed in two phases (Phase 1 has a designed capacity of 130,000 & 100,000 TPA, and Phase 2 will have an additional capacity of 130,000 & 100,000 TPA) for Micronization & Compounding plant respectively.

The plant is export-oriented with production comprising of highly filled grades of high-quality Titanium Dioxide (TiO2) & Calcium Carbonate (CaCO3) in Polyethylene (PE) and Polypropylene (PP) base polymer compositions. Additional grades will be introduced in due course as per market demand.

CaCO3 concentrates are targeted to be used for enhanced performance and cost reduction for many plastic applications i.e., film, molding and extrusion applications, primarily in conjunction with PE and PP. Our CaCO3 mix has an economical advantage that mitigates the high production cost of plastic which will enhance the profitability margin of our clients.

Our objective is to focus on the highest growing plastic segments in key markets which would allow our plant to operate at highest capacity while providing POLYCA-SA® with a unique cost advantage to compete and generate best return on investment

Research and Development

Research and Development for the UCIC Filler masterbatches is focused on providing maximum sustainability with the appropriate quality standards for every use.

UCIC focuses its innovation on obtaining a Filler masterbatch that enables its clients

To reduce the carbon footprint and improve the Life-Cycle assessment of the final product (carbon footprint certification) by using more environmentally friendly raw materials (technical minerals such as calcium carbonate, talc or other silica derivatives) and by reducing energy consumption during the production process.
To increase productivity by reducing the final product life cycle given by the mineral’s greater thermal conductivity.
To reduce the clients’ energy consumption. Thermal conductivity also decreases the need for energy when processing the plastic, which is why clients using UCIC Filler masterbatches consume less energy.
To obtain an excellent dispersion of mineral loads in the polymer matrix of the final product.
To prevent moisture absorption and reduce abrasion.
To improve mechanical properties such as impact, tear and puncture resistance thanks to the selection of minerals and polymers suitable for every use.
To reduce the consumption of pigments.
